Charlie Green gave the Loughton FC Youth Team the trip of a life time when they jetted off on tour to Southern Spain, thanks to a £16,000 fundraising effort!!!
The youth team have been playing football together since they were just 5 years old and used a themed Feature Match Contest (above) to generate the funds for their dream tour to the Costa del Sol. As well as the football tour being totally funded by the Feature Match proceeds, Loughton FC also managed to raise an additional £1,000 which they kindly donated to Haven House Hospice in Buckhurst Hill and used £500 to fix their club house roof.
To enter the competition for the chance to win £10,000 contestants were asked to list their six favourite England footballers of all time. A Prize Insurance contract from WorldWide Special Risks meant that in return for a small insurance premium, the £10,000 prize would have been paid for had someone struck lucky and picked the winning list of six players.
